Here comes the masked bandit of the forest! With its black eye-mask and stripy bushy tail, the raccoon is one of the cutest — and cheekiest — woodland animals. Colour these in, cut them out, or download the PDF to print at full size, then craft, mask and play. Pick a raccoon below and print or download it.

Make a raccoon mask

The raccoon's most famous feature is its "bandit" mask — perfect for a dress-up craft! Cut out the face, snip two holes for the eyes, and tape it to a craft stick or add a paper band so kids can wear it and become a sneaky little raccoon. It's a fun, simple costume for imaginative play.

Woodland friends

The raccoon is happiest among forest friends. Print a whole woodland crew with a squirrel, a fox and a hedgehog — lovely for a fall or forest-animals theme. Build a raccoon by colouring and gluing the pieces together, or trace a handprint to make a tiny one. Discover lots more in the full animals collection.

Creature of the night

Raccoons are nocturnal, which means they sleep all day and come out at night — great for a "nocturnal animals" lesson. Share these fun facts as you craft: raccoons have such clever paws they can open doors and bins, and they often dunk and "wash" their food before they eat it! They're also handy for practising the letter "R".
