Make a paper plate bear

Paint a paper plate brown for a teddy or grizzly bear, or leave it white for a polar bear, then add round ears, a little snout and two button eyes. Glue your bear to a craft stick or paper bag for a puppet, or add a ribbon and hang it on the wall as a keepsake. A teddy bear with a heart makes a lovely card for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day or Father's Day.

Bears are amazing! Many bears sleep right through the cold winter in a deep rest called hibernation, a baby bear is called a "cub", and bears are surprisingly good climbers and swimmers. Here's a cool one: under their white fur, polar bears actually have black skin to help soak up the sun's warmth!
