Make a paper plate fox

This is the fox craft everyone loves! Paint an orange "V" across a paper plate, leaving the sides white, then fold those edges in to make two fluffy cheeks. Add pointy ears, a little black pom-pom nose and two googly eyes, and you've got an adorable fox face. Glue your fox to a craft stick or paper bag for a quick puppet, and don't forget that big tail with its white tip.

Woodland friends for fall

The fox is happiest among forest friends. Print a whole woodland crew with a squirrel, a hedgehog, a raccoon and a deer for a cosy fall or forest-animals display. Find lots more in the full animals collection.

The clever fox, and F is for Fox

Foxes are famously clever — that's why we say "as sly as a fox"! They're actually part of the dog family, they have such sharp hearing they can listen for tiny animals moving under the snow and pounce straight down on them, and a baby fox is called a "kit" or a "cub". For a cute cousin, meet the tiny fennec fox with its enormous ears. These templates are perfect for the letter "F" too: colour your fox while you practise the "F" sound, or trace the outline for fine-motor practice.
