Fun mushroom facts to share

Mushrooms aren't plants, fruits or vegetables — they're a type of fungi, and amazingly, they don't even need sunlight to grow. As you craft, you can point out the cap and the stem and talk about where mushrooms grow in the woods. One important thing to teach little explorers: we never touch, pick or eat mushrooms we find outside, because some can be poisonous — these paper ones are much safer!
